Powell & Pressburger Day; A Celebration of the colaboative works of Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger.

Legendary directors Powell and Pressburger are at their most imaginative and controversial in this 1946 film, where Squadron Leader Peter Carter (David Niven) is alone in a blazing plane over the Channel and about to bale out without a parachute. During what he thinks are his last moments, Peter confides his thoughts on love and poetry to June, a young American radio operator (Kim Hunter). Then he jumps and is washed ashore. He appears unhurt and by some strange coincidence meets June and falls in love. But all is not as it seems: he has suffered severe concussion and experiences strange hallucinations in which he sees characters from the Other World. 102 mins.

Cert PG.
