Film @ The Horsebridge is celebrating the Oscars this year by screening previous winners. The first of two Oscar winning film screenings is Life of Pi.

Winning the ‘Best Director’ Oscar 2013, this film was a crowning achievement for the ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ director Ang Lee who did the apparent impossible in filming “the film that could not be filmed”.

A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. Whilst cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger.

Please note: we will also be screening a very short film before the Life of Pi in support of local filmmaking talent, should you wish to know about this process please email Doug Gardiner on info@horsebridge-centre.org.uk

Worth noting: Film @ The Horsebridge's second film screening celebrating the Oscars will be Amour (Best Foreign Language Film) on Saturday 15 March. www.horsebridge-centre.org.uk/?q=node/6808
