Our tremendously popular A1 Open exhibition is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to exhibit their artworks with over a hundred other artists. Places are on a first come, first served basis.

Representing all styles of art, mediums, techniques and themes this is an eclectic response from locals and those further afield to the brief of the A1 size, cohesively creating the largest exhibition of art in Whitstable.

Now in its 6th year, this unique open show allows that as long as work fulfils the brief of the A1 size, all artworks are accepted and displayed. The artist sets the price of their works and the centre takes no commission on works sold, entering a piece of work costs £30.

Conceptually the eclectic response to the brief of A1 and the acceptance of all work results in itself a single piece of work that we call the A1 Open.

The exhibition is well visited during the busy Oyster Festival, attracting over a thousand visitors daily.

Like all exhibitions at the Horsebridge Centre there is no admission fee.

The exhibition also features a busy preview night for all those that have submitted works.
