The Horsebridge A2 Open 2011
Inspiring artists under the age of 18 have entered over 175 pieces of art work in our popular, annual, free A2 Open Exhibition. An open show where all entries are welcome.
This year the show was completely free for young artists to enter their work, thanks to the support of our generous sponsors.
The opening night was attended by close to 300 people, including press, friends and family of those that entered their works.
Cash prizes were given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Four highly commended runners up received art materials and finally two specially selected artworks were selected to the be the front cover art of the Horsebridge printed programme, which has a print run of 8,000 copies per quarter and is distributed throughout the Whitstable, Canterbury and Herne Bay area. Prize winners ages were from three years up to seventeen years old.
Artworks are for sale. The Horsebridge takes no commission on works sold and does not set a guide price. All money from a sale goes to the individual artist.
